FAQ

FAQs about the Game Glide deer drag sled

1)       What is the Game Glide?

a) The Game Glide is the first ultra light deer sled.  It works with your existing rope deer drag, NOT in place of it to make your drag up to 46% easier.

b) Its ultra light design and small package size makes it ideal for rifle and bow hunters alike.  These attributes make it ideal to throw into your pack, so that it is there when you need it!

c) The Game Glide is so innovative that it is PATENTED!

2)      How does it work?

a) The Game Glide places a mat of Tough&Slick™ material between your animal’s hide and the ground.  This reduces the amount of friction between your trophy’s hide and the ground, which helps the animal to “Glide” over the ground when pulled.

b) Plus, it protects your trophy’s hide from damage from mud, rocks, etc.

3)      Why would I choose the Game Glide over a competitive product such as deer cart, ATV, or another deer sled?

a) This is easy:  COST, WEIGHT, SIZE, and SIMPLCITY!

b) While reusable deer sleds are good products, the Game Glide is significantly less expensive, significantly lighter, in a much smaller folded package than competitive products, and it sets up in seconds.

c) Additionally, the ATVs and deer carts make a lot of noise

d) Who wants to haul extra, heavy equipment into the woods when you could throw a Game Glide that weighs a mere 6oz. into your pocket or pack and forget about it until you need it?

e) Simplicity:  The Game Glide sets up in seconds!   Also, since the Game Glide is disposable, you do not need to scrub, clean, and sanitize it for reuse after the hunt.  Simply, dispose of the ropes and recycle the Tough&Slick material as HDPE #2.

4)      How long should my Game Glide last when in use?

a) The Game Glide is a disposable product that is designed to last for at least one use.  So if the hunter uses it in light duty, then they may be able to re-use it. If used for hard duty, the hunter should not reuse.

b) The long answer is “It Depends”

  • It depends on the severity of use: how far the unit is drug, the terrain that it is drug over, and how much weight is on the material.
  • The material will likely get some tears in it during use. Remember it is not tear puncture and tear propagation proof- it is puncture and tear propagation resistant.
  • In plain English this means that the product may experience small cuts and tears during use. These small cuts and tears will not noticeably impact the performance of the Game Glide and they should not catastrophically propagate under normal use.
  • The GG is designed to be used in standard hunting field conditions, not for extreme terrain (such as gravel roads, extreme sharp rock/brush conditions, or hard road surfaces). Use in extreme conditions may reduce the life or seriously damage it. Roads and stones really wear it out quickly, so don’t use it on them.

5)      What if the Game Glide tears?

a) The Game Glide mat is made out of our highly specialized “Tough&Slick” material.  While it is puncture and tear resistant, it is not puncture and tear proof.

b) In plain English this means that the product may experience small cuts and tears during use.  These small cuts and tears will not noticeably impact the performance of the Game Glide and they should not catastrophically propagate under normal use.

 6)      What is normal use?

a) The Game Glide is a disposable product designed to be used in standard hunting field conditions, not for extreme terrain (such as gravel roads, extreme sharp rock/brush conditions, or hard road surfaces).  Use in extreme conditions may reduce the life or seriously damage your unit.

b) GrandView Solutions LLC. is not responsible for damage done to the Game Glide by the purchaser when such damage is deemed to be caused by misuse, abuse, or especially by not following the guidelines or directions exactly as they are written. Our products will perform as advertised as long as they are used correctly and as directed.  We will stand behind our product when it is used as instructed within the guidelines of how to properly and safely use our products.

 7)      What if the orange colorant is worn or scratched off during use?

a) This is may occur during use.  It will not impact the performance of the Game Glide.    We made the Tough&Slick material so “slick” that sometimes the colorant has a hard time adhering!  So if you see the orange colorant scratching off, just think to yourself, “Wow this stuff is Slick!”

 8)      How do I use the Game Glide?

a) We have spent significant time trying to make the Game Glide as intuitive and easy to use as possible.  We feel very confident that we have succeeded in this goal, so please read the Instructions for Use for detailed instructions.

 9)      What is the best knot to use to tie the ropes around the animal?

a) Any good, secure knot will work.  We think that the half-hitch knot is the easiest and it holds the load secure enough.  We even put a loop on one end of each rope to assist in tying the half-hitch knot.  Just feed the rope through the loop and tie a half-hitch knot around the loop.

Below are videos of how to tie the half-hitch knot and the two half-hitch knot:

If you want a little more holding power, try a two half-hitch knot .
